Other work includes:

  • Comoé-Bia-Tano, Mono, and Cavaly-Cestos-Sassandra river basin organizations in West Africa: Support from the Centre to the ECOWAS Technical Committee and ECOWAS Ministerial Meetings in 2008 resulted in the decision to create these new organizations.
  • Congo River Commission (CICOS): Support from the Centre to the ministerial and development partners meetings in 2009 resulted in an outline framework for partner cooperation.
  • Volta Basin Authority: The Centre assisted riparian countries in integrating their IWRM plans into a key Global Environment Facility support project, and then offered technical support to project implementation (2010-11).
