Join us to discuss the role of data in combatting marine litter at the UN Ocean Conference

Marine litter and plastic pollution needs to be addressed at the global level. This event – Integrated Marine Litter Monitoring to Inform Action – will advocate for a global sustained Integrated Marine Debris Observing System (IMDOS) that will work hand in hand with the UNEP Global Partnership on Marine Litter (GPML) to address critical knowledge gaps currently hindering pollution action. The event will address a broad variety of stakeholders, including UN member states representatives.

UNEP-DHI is contributing with a presentation on “Data for decision making and measuring progress”. In addition, we will be hosting a lunch round table on the importance of data harmonization for the GPML Digital Platform.
